Refund Policy for Students Called to Active Military Service
Students who withdraw from the school due to being called to active duty in the United States military services or the Texas National Guard have several options available for each program in which they are enrolled:
-
Pro-Rata Refund: If tuition and fees have been prepaid, the student is eligible for a pro-rata refund of any tuition, fees, or other charges paid for the portion of the program not completed after withdrawal. Additionally, any unpaid tuition, fees, or other charges for that portion of the program will be cancelled.
-
Grade of Incomplete: Students may receive a grade of incomplete with the designation "withdrawn-military" for courses in the program, excluding any courses for which a grade has already been awarded. Students have the right to re-enroll in the same or a substantially equivalent program (if the original program is no longer available) without further tuition, fees, or other charges, other than any unpaid balance of the original charges for tuition, fees, and books. This right extends until the first anniversary of the student’s discharge from active military duty.
-
Assignment of Final Grade or Credit: Students may be awarded a final grade or credit for the program if the program’s instructor(s) determine that the student has satisfactorily completed at least 90 percent of the required coursework and demonstrated sufficient mastery of the program material to merit completion credit.
Refunds will be processed and completed, with funds either negotiated or credited into
